A History of Cafe Rio

From a single kitchen to a Las Vegas landmark — here's how the caferio story unfolded over the years.

2009

The Beginning

Cafe Rio opened its doors at 4680 S Maryland Pkwy in Las Vegas with a small but passionate team and a menu of 12 carefully crafted dishes. The community response was immediate and overwhelming.

2012

First Expansion

Growing demand prompted us to expand our dining space and double our kitchen capacity. We also launched our first catering service, bringing the caferio experience to private events across Nevada.

2015

Award Recognition

Cafe Rio earned its first regional dining award for Best Casual Restaurant in Las Vegas. The recognition validated our commitment to quality and motivated us to raise the bar even higher.

2018

Online Ordering Launch

We launched our digital ordering platform, making the cafe rio experience accessible beyond our dining room. Online orders quickly grew to represent over 30% of our total revenue within the first year.

2021

Sustainability Pledge

We formalized our environmental commitment by transitioning to 100% compostable packaging, partnering with a local urban farm for produce supply, and achieving a 40% reduction in kitchen waste.

2024

Menu Reimagined

A full menu redesign celebrated our 15-year milestone. New seasonal sections, expanded plant-based options, and a refreshed caferio brand identity were unveiled to enthusiastic response from our loyal community.
